Greetings! My name is Max and I joined the research group in Fall of 2023. The focus of my PhD lies at the intersection between quantum resource theories and information theoretic cryptography, studying how quantum resources enable access to private shared randomness. Below are a few of the guiding threads of research that I follow.
- Provable (information theoretic) cryptrography from quantum resources: What other useful forms of shared randomness can be disseminated from quantum resources, beyond symmetric secret key? With what level of security can we distribute these resources? Where is mulitpartite entanglement a unique advantage in this space?
- Graph states and measurement-based computation: How can private information processing tasks be instatiated from graph states (quantum states with graphical representations)? How can we more efficiently generate these states in practice?
